The Sun in white light and in H-alpha light

Sun in White Light: Astro DMx capture was used to take a 659 frame SER using an Apollo-M-Mini camera fitted with a x2 Barlow lens attached to an Altair Herschel Wedge inserted into a Sky-Watcher 80 Esprit triplet refractor. Some 30% of the frames were stacked in Autostakkert!4 and wavelet processed in Registax with further processing and false colour applied in Pixinsight. 

 

Sun in Ha:  Astro DMx capture was used to take a 1023 frame SER using an Apollo-M-Mini camera fitted with a x2 Barlow lens attached to a Coronado PST. Some 30% of the frames were stacked in Autostakkert!4 and wavelet processed in Registax with further processing and false colour applied in Pixinsight.
