A successful three hour solar observing event was held at the Penllergare Equatorial Observatory with up to 100 visitors attending to view our local star through a range of hydrogen alpha and white light scopes and via the projection method. Several smart scopes were also used to show the sun on mobile phone and tablets using special filters.
