Smart scope experiments

The unexpected clear sky last night prompted me to do a couple of Smart scope experiments. I had the Seestar S50 on the Orion nebula and the Dwarf mini on the Leo triplet. A bit later I put the Seestar S50 on the Leo triplet so both scopes were imaging the same target. I used the same technique on both scopes to compose the image: I used the sky atlas to manually move around until I had the composition exactly as I wanted with all three galaxies placed well. Then I synced and started capturing. In each case because the centre of the field of view was not on an object, the capture was recorded as 'unknown'. This didn't matter because I knew what it was. I used an iPad with the Dwarf mini and an Android tablet with the Seestar S50.
