NGC 7000 & NGC6888

NGC 7000 & NGC6888 in SHO: With some fine conditions on the night of the 1st August, I was able to image two of the northern hemisphere's best narrowband targets; NGC7000 the North American nebula and the NGC6888 the Crescent nebula, both of which are emission nebulae that lie in the constellation of Cygnus. Using an ASI 533MM Pro camera and EWF attached to a Sky-Watcher Esprit 80ED triplet refractor fitted with a field flattener, I shot 25 minutes each of Sulphur, Hydrogen and Oxygen on both targets and added 15 minutes of Sulphur to NGC7000 that I shot on 28 July before being clouded out. Both targets were integrated and processed in PixInsight, using Narrowband Normalisation to optimise the three different gas types more clearly.
