August 9 SAS members at the Brian Stokes Cygnus Observatory

On the night of the 9th August members enjoyed some early Perseid meteor watching at our observatory and viewed the Moon and Saturn close-up through some of our larger telescopes. Members also brought along some of their own scopes and equipment to image and view the night sky. Although the moon did wash out some of the fainter meteors, several brighter ones were seen by members enjoying the warm conditions on their deckchairs and ground mats, however just one meteor was imaged out of the many hundreds of time-lapse images taken.
