NGC 5033 is an inclined spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatiici. Distance estimates vary from between 38 and 60 million light-years from Earth.
NGC 5033 is a Seyfert Type I galaxy so has a supermassive black hole at its centre which emits large amounts of radiation at the X-ray and radio wave parts of the spectrum.
