Partial lunar eclipse: During a break in the clouds I was able to view and image the Earth's umbral shadow on the face of the Moon as it headed towards this morning's total lunar eclipse. In Swansea totality would have been just prior to Moonset and sunrise, so this was probably the best that could have been expected. Image was a single RAW file taken with a Sony ZV-E10 vlogging camera fitted with a 350mm zoom lens and full zoom with an exposure of 1/200" at F6.3 and ISO 125. Image processed in Sony Imaging Edge.
The Boogeyman nebula (LDN 1622): I was able to take and additional 2.5 hours of RGB/SHO data to combine with data taken the previous evening and integrated all four hours worth of data into this cropped RGB/SHO composition. As before the two RGB and SHO images were processed to first remove the stars using StarXterminator and then the starless images were blended together, with the RGB stars reduced and reinstated into the final edit.
