Rotting Fish Nebula, Dark Shark Nebula, Foetus Nebula

Greetings from Portugal. Here are the three images I have managed so far this visit. I arrived on 12th December to poor weather, however this soon cleared and i have had clear skies from 20th December to 1st January.

Given the dark clear skies I have decided to shoot a number of dark nebula that require a long total integration time.

LDN 1251 Rotting Fish Nebula

This nebula is located in Cephus and is thought to be around 1000 light years distant.

A total of 20 hours of 5 minute sub frames in LRGB

LDN1235 Dark Shark Nebula

Nebula located in Cephus again thought to be around 1000 light years distant. 24 Hours of 5 minute sub frames in RGB

NGC1333 Foetus Nebula

Nebula located in Perseus. A total of 15hrs 30min of exposure of LRGB

These dark nebula are very challenging to process and test you skills, the signal is low and differentiating background from real signal is difficult. Overall very enjoyable challenge and I am pleased I tackled these objects.
