Swansea Astronomical Society were delighted to once again be a part of the Swansea Science Festival held at the National Waterfront Museum over the weekend of the 26th and 27th October. We had perfect weather for being able to demonstrate safe solar viewing through a range of solar telescopes, with several hundred festival visitors having enjoyed closeup views of our local star for the very first time. We had a lot of interest in our stand and it was lovely to be able to engage with folk attending the science festival; some of whom we hope will become new members of our society.
