The blaze stars and star clusters

An otherwise clear night of very good seeing was hampered by high winds, so my imaging session was restricted to shorter exposures of 60 second subs. Initially I did a check on the Blaze Star (T CrB) using a Star diffraction grid to record some LRGB data for just 16 mins – no sign of any nova starting just yet, but these data should provide a useful comparison of diffraction spikes should the nova be observed as is expected in the coming weeks. I followed that with two further sequences of 60s subs on M11 and the M56 regions of sky with the diffraction grid also attached. All data were captured in NINA with a ZWO Asi533MM Pro camera attached to an Altair 60EDF doublet refractor fitted with a 0.8 x FR. Data were stacked and processed in Pixinsight and Adobe Photoshop 2024.
