Montage:
On the night of the 19th May quite a few members enjoyed some warm conditions at the Brian Stokes Cygnus Observatory to use a range of telescopes to view and image the Moon and some deep sky objects. Some shared learnings were enjoyed including sky navigation, equipment optimisation and imaging techniques.
Deep sky images:
Captured in NINA using an ASI 533MM Pro camera attached to an Altair EDF60 doublet refractor fitted with a 0.8 x FR. Images stacked and processed in Pixinsight and Adobe Photoshop 2024
M101 full wide field image (with NGC 5474 lower right, NGC 5422 top left) – 2 hrs of LRGB/Ha data
