First workshop held at Fairwood last Friday (22nd September)

Around a dozen members attended the Brian Stokes Cygnus Observatory to enjoy the first of several workshops aimed at helping members get the most out of their scopes and improving their knowledge of the night sky. Despite the weather not cooperating at first we did have some excellent conditions later on and saw some amazing objects as the rain showers cleared the air. The session continued into the small hours of the morning where Jupiter, Saturn and a wealth of deep sky objects were viewed in the dark moonless skies. It was great to see so many members enjoying shared learning and taking advantage of the excellent equipment available at the Observatory.
