C/2023 E1 ATLAS

I took just over an hour of comet C/2023 E1 ATLAS on the evening of the 20th July and used each of the 3 minute exposures to make an animation showing the movement of the comet among the stars of Draco. The equipment used was an Altair 60 EDF doublet refractor fitted with a 0.8 x FR with data imaged with n ASI533 MM Pro camera using a CLS filter to reduce the effects of light pollution. Data was acquired with NINA using its "Orbitals" comet routine which adjusts the speed of the mount to follow the comet. I used Pixinsight to produce the image using its comet stacking routine and its blink utility to produce the animation.

Here are luminance only data of the comet comprising 4 x 3 min subs stacked. I've included the annotation from Pixinsight and a cropped version. These data were taken at the start of my run and with slightly better conditions.
