Here is an image I took last night of Nova Her, the nova is not visible at first but if you magnify the image 5x-10x you can just make it out. The nova is not as bright as it has been and is now about mag 7.5 or below. The camera used is a Nikon D3200 40MM LENS F/5.6 and 15secs exp and was taken at 22:23 ut, the image has the area of AAVSO chart marked out. The bright star north of the nova and unmarked is variable FF AQL (SA2000).
