How to set up up AstroDMx Capture for Windows and Deep Sky Stacker Live (DSSL) to work with each other and perform live-stacking of deep-sky images.

Full details of the simple procedures required to get DSSL and AstroDMx Capture for Windows to work together to do live stacking of deep-sky images can be found HERE.

Because of AstroDMx Capture's ability to do real-time dark-frame and/or flat-field calibration of captured images, when used in conjunction with Deep Sky Stacker Live, AstroDMx Capture removes a severe limitation of DSSL, and produces stacked images that are suitable for normal post-processing.

This technique can provide pleasing images of the object being photographed as the stacked image builds up on screen and becomes less noisy.

It is a method inherently suited to outreach and shared views of the imaging process.
