A Skymax 127 was fitted with a Photographic grade (N,B. not safe for eyepiece viewing) Baader white light solar filter.
A ZWO ASI178MC camera was placed at the Cassegrain focus and was used in Y800 monochrome mode. The camera was fitted with a Baader Ca K-line filter.
The Sun was located using a solar finder that projects a pinhole image of the Sun onto a small screen
AstroDMx Capture was used to capture a 10,000 frame SER file of the part of the Sun where AR2818 and AR2820 were located. The seeing was so bad due to heat convecting from rooftops and concrete in the village that it was hard to justify capturing the data.
The best 5% of frames were stacked in Autostakkert!, wavelet processed in Registax 6 and post processed in the Gimp 2.10.
Active regions AR2818 and AR2820 in Ca K-line light.
The paler network on the solar surface is part of the chromospheric network of high magnetic flux.
