The Ikarus observatory has been set up by First Light Optics and is hosted by Pixelskiesastro in Castellejar in Spain.
At the moment SGL users get the calibrated data monthly and then we can process it as we want as long as we don't add any other data to it. It's nice to have as the weather's rubbish this time of year and I'm learning a lot on the processing side. My propeller nebula is the first one I've removed the stars to process the nebula and put them back in at the end. It's a bit like itelescope but the data are free to members.
All images had around 100 hours under very dark skies!

I think in the future, a lot of imagers in the UK will be using remote setups; many already image unattended all night.
