The Moon with a DFK camera and a bit of Python

A DFK camera was placed at the Cassegrain focus of a Skymax 127 Maksutov. Four AVIs were captured of overlapping areas of the 70% waning Moon using a lossless Huffman codec. The AVIs were then decompressed and re-saved as AVIs in VirtualDub. The AVIs were stacked in Autostakkert3 and the resulting images were wavelet processed in Registax 5.1, precisely back-cropped to 640 x 480 pixels and stitched into a mosaic using Microsoft ICE. The final image was post processed in the Gimp 2.10
