A Pentax K-x DSLR was attached to an eyepiece projection adapter with a 20mm Plossl eyepiece was fitted in the focuser of a Solarmax ll, 60 BF15 H-alpha scope.
The image was focused in Live view and an image was captured at ISO 400 and 1/800th s.
The red channel was extracted from the RGB image and processed as a monochrome image. The H-alpha line would be detected by the red pixels but any values in the other two channels would be spurious.
The Monochrome image was resized and levels adjusted:
