Comet Panstarrs and the Pleiades with videography

A 1/2" chip monochrome Mintron camera was attached to a 100mm Canon TV zoom lens and mounted on an autotracking Merlin mount. Comet Panstarrs was imaged by capturing a 50 frame AVI using a USB capture card and Steve Massey's GStar4 video capture program. Each frame was a 256x video-frame integration. The AVI was stacked in Registax:


The comet is fading as it moves away, but it is still visible in binoculars.
At a lower zoom, the comet can be seen in the same field of view as the Andromeda galaxy:


The Pleiades were imaged by capturing a 50 frame AVI that was stacked in Registax:


Some of the reflection nebula can be seen in this image.
